Initially AutoCAD was derived from a program called Interact, which was written in a proprietary language.
There are many merits of using AutoCAD. It has evolved to become one of the most sophisticated design tools in the industry these days. It is a computer aided design as well as drafting software with which we can create precise 2-D and 3-D drawings.
